So, all my stories on FA were just removed as "Content made using AI". I'm not going to contest it, but I do want to talk about it a little.
These where not "I write a short prompt and the AI writes a story" situations. These were back and forth between me and the AI. Specifically using AI Dungeon.
My prompts are part of the stories, about every other paragraph. I additionally did a lot of editing of the AI output.

The point of these stories was for me to create something, so it wasn't taking work away from anyone. I know that isn't the only ethical concern people have with this kind of AI, but I feel its the most concrete, because I feel like the results are generally inspired by rather than stealing from other works. Sure you can tell it to mimic someone's style. You can forge a painting too. The ethical problem is not that you were looking at the original painting while doing so, it's that you're doing it for forgery. You lose some control of anything you make public. It doesn't mean every use of your work by someone else is ethical, but I think it does make those things kind of fuzzy. Prior to all of this AI stuff, I've generally been of the opinion that anything created by someone now dead should be public domain, and honestly I feel like in an ideal world most things would be pretty immediately. But that's also an ideal world where people don't have to work to survive. Which isn't where we are, so it's complicated.

These works were special to me, making them helped me grow.
I always struggled with writing. I'd get stuck often, discouraged, and give up. Role-playing with AI dungeon like this helped me become better with words. They also were a way to put some of my kink interests out there. I feel like it helped me in a way that a human couldn't have. And because of that, I want technology like this to exist and have a place.

IDK. I'm not judging the policy here, I just wanted to share my perspective. I feel a little sad, but I haven't done AI stories in over a year at this point. And I'm thinking of trying non-AI assisted writing again, maybe rehashing some of these story concepts.
